Lithium EP2 Grease

Lithium EP2 grease is a multi-purpose, extreme-pressure (EP) lithium-based grease, valued for its performance in a wide range of industrial and automotive applications. It is thickened with lithium soap and has an NLGI Grade 2 consistency, which means it has a texture similar to peanut butter—firm enough to stay in place, yet soft enough for easy application.

Key properties include:

• High load-bearing capacity: It contains EP and anti-wear additives that provide strong protection under heavy or shock-loaded conditions.
• Excellent water resistance and corrosion protection: It resists water washout and protects metal surfaces from rust and corrosion.
• Wide operating temperature range: Typically effective from -30 °C to +130 °C, with some formulations capable of handling even higher temperatures.
• Good mechanical stability and pumpability: It maintains its structure under mechanical stress and can be easily used in centralized lubrication systems.

Common applications include lubricating plain and roller bearings, automotive wheel bearings, chassis parts, water pumps, agricultural equipment, and general machinery. It is often used where high pressures, moisture, or vibration are present.
